“When you meet Su, the first thing you notice is her gentle demeanor. Her voice is soft yet stern, her gait is straight yet any dog that walks next to her seem to flow next to her. Her energy is incredible and it’s no wonder dogs gravitate and aspire to impress her.
Su has been nothing but a wonderful trainer for our 20 mo old Doberman Pincher. She is punctual, thorough, consistent and very effective in her training methods as well as being knowledgeable in the psychology of working dogs and understanding their behavioral tendencies/challenges/issues. So when we had to go on a trip where our 90 pound Rottweiler wasn’t invited, we talked to Su about boarding with her family and the wonderful Denali. Artemis and Denali had met before in training and we knew that, with Su running the show, leaving for a week would not mean a week worth of building bad habits! We left for vacation confident that Artemis would be properly and lovingly cared for, and when the daily photos and walk reports came through we were so appreciative of the ‘above and beyond’ approach to boarding; it definitely made the distance just a little bit more bearable.”

“Dembe walks with Sunethra 3 times every week during the weekdays. He has been walking with her or boarding with her for over a year now. Scheduling walks with Sunethra has never been an issue and she is very reliable. If she is not in town on certain weeks she gives us ample notice so we can make alternate arrangements for Dembe's weekday walks. She is also very perceptive of Dembe when they walk together. Dembe is scared of trash cans and Sunethra promptly noted this and has helped Dembe get better with this fear. He walks very well with her and occasionally with Sunethra and Denali together. He definitely enjoys his walks! When Dembe is with Sunethra I have the peace of mind that he is in good hands. He is loved but not spoiled. :)”

“Sue (and her trusty sidekick, Denali) watched my 2 yo Doberman Kenobi at her house for 10 days over the holidays. I can’t speak highly enough about Sue! Scheduling with her was very smooth. She was very flexible, accommodating my raw feeding practice and even picking up/dropping off Kenobi from a nearby kennel (which I used for the part of my vacation for which Sue was already booked.). Sue communicated with me every day, sending pictures and status updates. Sue is a skilled trainer, and kept my bruiser of a boy in line! (Which makes him happy!). What’s more, Kenobi and Denali got along swimmingly — and I got to see all kinds of Kenobi smiles during their playtime in the photos that Sue sent. I will absolutely use Sue again, and you should too!”

She was actually the first trainer I worked with when my dog began to display aggressive behavior towards other dogs when out walking. She helped us tremendously in developing a strong bond between owner and dog through consistent training work. She has a gentle nature and dogs love her. The way she explained things to me as a novice made sense and didn't make me feel like a terrible owner. My dog is now able to go out on structured walks and doesn't react, but it takes consistent practice using the tools Su provided. “I met Su when her pup Denali and my pup Boudi were in puppy kindergarten together. We shared stories of training and I could tell that we were kindred spirits in not only our love for our dogs, but our expectations that our dogs would be good citizens in the world with both people and other dogs. Boudi and Denali have had many playdates over the two years since that time, and Su has really knocked it out of the park with her own dog. When I have to go out of town, it is hard because we are very picky when it comes to finding care for Boudi. So, when Su decided to open Denali Dogworks, I can't tell you how thrilled I was. We picked up Boudi last night after a three-night visit, and it was the best caretaking experience he's ever had. Not only did he get to reconnect with his puppy kindergarten girlfriend but Su's care was outstanding - from structured play to rest to walks - everything is top notch. I almost don't want to write this because I know her business is going to be so popular, and I want to keep her for Boudi LOL!!!”

“Sunethra is AMAZING! We normally bring our Siberian Husky girl, Timber, to the breeder for boarding when we need to leave town, but our breeder recently retired and we turned to Sunethra for last minute help. I can not rave enough about her, her home, her professionalism, AND her own wonderful dog, Denali. After our initial meet and greet, I could tell my husky not only loved her fenced back yard, but also LOVED playing with her sweet, playful dog. We were gone for 8 days, and each and every day I got photo and text updates that were so sweet and so re-assuring. My husky was so bonded to her malamute that I felt bad picking her up at the end! Sunethra and her husband are the loveliest people and there home is immaculate AND dog friendly. Timber was given walks and plenty of play time outside. She had a wonderful time, and I was able to relax knowing that she was in incredible care. I have found my boarding replacement!”
