Sunethra (Su) grew up around dogs all her life. If it wasn’t through interaction with her own dog, it was interactions with the strays on the streets of her hometown. She has always cared deeply about their general welfare. This pushed her to stay committed to better her understanding of canine behavior and our relationship with them.

Apart from working with her own dogs, Denali and Rorschach, Su volunteers and fosters for local rescues. She also spent 3 years apprenticing under multiple trainers and behaviorists, working with dogs of various breeds and temperaments, helping them overcome behavioral issues and learn new skills.

Dog training is a lifestyle to adopt and maintain. Learning to communicate effectively with a dog takes time, patience, commitment and reflection. Su started Denali Dogworks with a goal to inspire owners to pursue a deeper understanding of dog behavior. She strongly believes in building long-term relationships with her clients and their dogs, that is based on trust and achieving realistic goals that help strengthen their bond.
